The first Corvette was introduced to the world in 1953. Since then, it has undergone an evolution—from a car with covered headlights, a 3.9-liter inline six-cylinder engine, and a two-speed automatic transmission, it transitioned to round exposed headlights and, in 1958, a four-headlight design. Created by the GM team under the leadership of Earl Harley, this fiberglass-bodied creation became a legend. By 1962, 69,015 cars had been produced, with the most being made in the final year of production. Under the hood, the car featured a 4.6-liter V8 engine, either with a four-barrel carburetor or fuel injection. The versions from 1960 to 1962 had a redesigned rear (referencing the C2 Sting Ray) with four round headlights.

That’s a brief historical overview. The offered 1960 C1 in a beautiful two-tone combination has several advantages: it underwent a very high-quality full restoration about seven years ago, so it now looks like new. It stands out with its shapes and the quirks of its time. Additionally, it doesn’t have a dull automatic but a three-speed manual, which adds authenticity to the driving experience. The engine is a small-block V8 4.6 liters (283 cui), producing 233 horsepower and 407 Nm of torque. We tested the fully functional car with a perfect engine and transmission, and we can confidently say that this is truly a beautiful example of the first Corvette.
