This beautiful V8 Alfa holds a special place in the garage of true connoisseurs. The special model by M. Gandini from the Bertone studio was introduced in 1970, but it went into serial production two years later. From 1970 to 1977, only a total of 3925 cars were produced. The gradually decreasing demand was mainly caused by the oil crisis, which was unfavorable for sports cars with large engines. Additionally, the Montreal was never sold in its natural market, the USA, where it was considered as a "side drink" to whisky.

An interesting detail is that Alfa received a raised hood to accommodate the V8 engine derived from the legendary 33 Stradale. The eight-cylinder engine with four camshafts was bored out, fitted with fuel injection, and its output was reduced to a total of 200 hp to make it more durable and usable for regular use. The design was slightly modified, although features like the covered headlights remained. In the 1970s, colors were very popular – the Montreal offered a whole range, including the classic red, gold metallic, Verde Termico green, brown-beige Marrone Luci Di Cosco, or the iconic orange, which can be seen at the Alfa Romeo Museum in Arese (where the aforementioned prototypes are also on display).

The offered Alfa Romeo has been thoroughly tested and even appeared in the Autotip Klassik magazine (summer 2023). Since then, it has received clear headlights and some minor care. Otherwise, it is a fully functional, beautiful example with a nice paint job, and it has also undergone fuel injection service. Overall, a beautiful car with a big heart.
