The Jaguar XJ is a series of full-size luxury cars produced by British automobile manufacturer Jaguar Cars from 1968 to 2019.
The first-generation of the XJ was produced for a total period of 24 years, with two major facelifts in 1973 and 1979.
A high performance version called the XJ12 was announced in July 1972, featuring a simplified grille treatment, and powered by a Jaguar's 5.3 L V12 engine.
The XJ line received a facelift in Autumn 1973 for the 1974 model year, thereafter known as the "Series II". The Series II and Series II coupé were the last Jaguar models with direct input by Sir William Lyons before his retirement.
Two-door XJ coupés with a pillarless hardtop body called the XJ-C were built between 1975 and 1978.
This 1979 first registration Jaguar XJ-C V12 is a fully running, functional vehicle with preserved interior and registration documents.
