As a new venture we are still learning and facing new situations. The interest in our platform and the cars is rapidly growing and the growing interest brings more requests from the potential buyers and from the sellers.
And that is what happened also in our second auction event to the eight car in our sale, the 1960 Pontiac Ventura. The interest is really growing, in the first event, there were bidders outside Europe “only” for the two most expensive cars. Now we see global interest already in most cars, for example in the Pontiac even from India! And there are also more personal visits of the cars happening. One such visit happened last weekend to the Ventura.

We surely welcome also the personal visits of the cars. And this time the potential buyer really wanted the car and tried to convince the seller not to auction the car. Both the seller and the buyer enjoy the same passion for these cars, so they have asked us, if this is possible.
At first we tried to argue to the seller he should continue with the auction, that we can set the reserve to the amount offered by the buyer, so he is at no risk with continuing with the auction, it can only end with a better result for him and it is only two weeks until the end of the auction. But he argued he is happy with the money he gets and that he found a really good buyer.

And this is exactly the main purpose of our platform! It is not only about the best possible price, but also and maybe even more about finding the best possible home for the cars!

After this situation happened, we have been rethinking the setup of our platform again, we do not have to be afraid of such a situation, we should welcome this outcome, it is another opportunity how to satisfy the buyer and the seller, how to set our platform more effectively.
